With the increase of violent incidents on church, synagogue, mosque, and temple grounds around the world, it’s necessary to ensure leadership and security staff are educated on the recognition of precursors, as well as the prevention aspects, of violence.
Far too many houses of worship don’t have or train security staff. Of the ones that do, most only train in active shooters drills.
These drills only help us respond to an imminent threat. While that’s important, it’s more important to know how to recognize potential aggressors, conduct probability assessments on potential attacks, and ‘harden the target’.
That way, if a violent offender does attempt to get onto the grounds… they’re recognized and prevented from harming members.
In this course, the student will learn:
(1) Introduction & Threat Assessment for Houses of Worship
(2) Houses of Worship & Legal Considerations
(3) The Proactive Protective Approach / Mindset
(4) Physical Security 101 for Houses of Worship
(5) Security Plan Checklist / Survey
… and much more!
“This is a non-denominational course. Whenever you read or hear the name of a religion/faith in this course… and it’s not yours… just replace it with your chosen faith. All religions & faiths are at risk. Focus on the security lesson at hand… not the faith of the person, video, etc. teaching the lesson.”
